Kat Blackwell

Kat specialises in capturing special moments in time along with producing websites and promotional material that truly reflect your business or band.

Kat Blackwell is a national independent photographer and designer with over 14 years experience. She has worked with many of Australia’s top artists including: Christine Anu, Troy Cassar-Daley, Grant Walmsley (Screaming Jets), Bill Chambers, NoKTuRNL and Yothu Yindi to name a few.

Kat was the graphic designer at the Glen Innes Examiner newspaper for over two years, has worked with various youth and community based organisations and with the Melbourne correspondent for the Koori Mail, a national Indigenous newspaper.

Kat's work has been published in Deadly Vibe magazine, the Victorian Police Journal and newspapers (including Newcastle Post, Central Coast Express Advocate and Drum Media) as well as in the books ‘Art of Reconciliation’ and 'Deadly Sounds, Deadly Places' and on various websites and CD covers (including NoKTuRNL and Frank Yamma).

Kat does promotional work for many Australian artists, including web design and maintenance, online social marketing and CD cover design for established blues artists such as Steve Edmonds and Buddy Knox.

Kat's eye for capturing a moment and her skills in social networking and design have been recognised nationally in the publication of her work and her involvement in private and community based projects.
